Hi friends! Merry Christmas from my home to yours. By now I suspect all your stockings are hung by the chimney {with care of course} and you're spending time with loved ones. Or, if you're like me, you're frantically wrapping those last minute gifts you bought over the weekend!
If you're in my boat, I thought I'd share some of my favorite DIY wrapping tips. No need to go buy reams of holiday paper that'll sit. Just look around the house and use what's close at hand - and you'll have prettiest of presents come tomorrow morning!
1. Have fun with ribbon. Criss-cross, zig-zag, layer it on. You can make your own pattern over the top of any simple craft paper. I love the graphic look of this green and white example.
2. Get graphic. Wrap your gifts in magazine pages – especially ones that feature lovely fonts. A pop of holly berry give your gift the seasonal punch it needs.
3. Add flare. A little green garnish takes the place of a bow and gives your package a beautiful and organic feel.
4. Go gold. Everything is immediately festive when gold ribbon is involved. I love the modern deco look of this crisscross pattern.
5. Get glitter. Everything feels special when there’s glitter involved. Glitter bows don’t even require wrapping paper. Simply tie up a box and you’re good to go.
6. Let your tape show. Japanese Washi Tape is a gift from the wrapping gods. In candy colors, pretty stripes and polka dots you can add immediate personality to every package.
Happy last-minute wrapping, friends.
