Announcing the Icons Collection from Lamps Plus - a collection of custom giclee-printed designer lighting styles, created by 5 modern design icons. We invited a limited number of leading designers who have a signature "iconic" style to create lamp shade patterns exclusively for Lamps Plus: Christopher Kennedy; Jen Ramos of Made by Girl; Kate Albrecht of Mr. Kate; Tobi Fairley; and Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield of Woodson & Rummerfield.
Christopher Kennedy: Based in Palm Springs, Christopher Kennedy brings a fresh look to interior design and home furnishings. Inspired by California architecture, lifestyle and climate, Christopher's design style blends modern, traditional, nostalgic and playful elements. For the Lamps Plus Icons Collection, Christopher Kennedy has created an exclusive Infinity lamp shade pattern that reflects his sense of relaxed luxury, inspired by the casual sophistication of Palm Springs' mid-century architecture and design.
Made by Girl: Designer and blogger Jen Ramos creates a custom Made by Girl lighting design, featuring a Chevron pattern inspired by the artfully defined lines of an ikat textile. In 2007, Jen launched Made by Girl to feature her original art and prints. The site has grown into an acclaimed outlet featuring Jen’s fresh take on art and lifestyle.
Mr. Kate: Mr. Kate is a quirky and cutting-edge brand by Los Angeles-based designer and blogger Kate Albrecht. Founded in 2009, Mr. Kate has grown into one-stop authority on home, food, fashion and lifestyle advice. For the Lamps Plus Icons collections, Kate has created an intricate yet playful pattern of drawn lines, reflecting her eclectic style and exuberant personality.
Tobi Fairley: For more than a decade, interior designer Tobi Fairley has brought her signature look – a fresh combination of colorful, large-scale prints and classic furniture styles – to projects across the southern half of the United States. In her exclusive Bamboo Trellis lamp shade pattern design for Lamps Plus, Tobi Fairley offers a nod to the fabulous trellis work often found on vintage bamboo furniture.
Woodson & Rummerfield: Combining the opulence of old Hollywood with a sleek and sophisticated style sense, designers Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield have created their own modern-vintage mash-up called "Modage". For their exclusive Lamps Plus Icons Collection pattern, the duo was inspired by the stylized look of vintage leather book covers. The result was a stunning marbled giclee lamp shade pattern, available in an array of color combinations.
The result of the above is the Icons Collection, a line of designer lighting that combines high design and everyday value. Hand-crafted on-demand using our patented giclee printing process, each pattern is available in sixteen color combinations with a variety of light fixtures.
