It’s well know that Ellen DeGeneres has tremendous style, so how would you like to decorate like Ellen DeGeneres for less?
Elle Decor did a beautiful spread of one of the homes she shares with Portia de Rossi which is an amazing rustic, yet elegant, ranch, complete with the most chic barn you will ever see.
Ellen is known for her love of real estate and design, an area of interest that comes easier with a large budget. Fear not, there is a way to get a similar look without having to shell out a small fortune.
The great thing about this style is that there is a relaxed attitude about mixing decor from a variety of periods. Contemporary art lives harmoniously with worn leather seating and accent tables that offer surface space for unique accessories. The clean, white walls are a perfect backdrop for the richly toned woods and richly hued carpets.
One of my favorite design points in Ellen’s home is the mix of industrial materials in the overtly organic rooms. There is a cool dynamic at play between unique floor lamps that add a sculptural quality with old world wood tables and chairs. Again, monochromatic walls are a good foundation for one-of-a-kind home decor.
1. This antique brass wall sconce has industrial styling and is the lighting look of the moment.
2. I like the Rustic Horse Statue for a sofa table or large mantel.
3. The Feiss Cadence Antique Brass Mini Pendant Light has a nostalgic aesthetic and looks great in traditional kitchens.
4. Introduce midcentury styling with the comfortable Waverly Saddle Brown Bonded Leather Accent Chair.
5. The no fuss Village Industrial Distressed Wood 3-Shelf Side Table has the industrial rustic look found in Ellen’s home.
6. I like the turn-of-the-century design of the Calyx Cognac Glass Industrial Bronze Floor Lamp.
