Elements of the modernist home office can be found in Mid Century design. Or, I just happen to think a mid century style home office is awesome. Trust me, I’m not here to push the “Don Draper look” on you, just a way to amp up the cool factor of your home office.
While home office ideas can come from just about anywhere, I like this modernist look because it’s interesting without being distracting. The sculptural lines found in these decorative objects, furniture and lighting will allow your eye to admire something aesthetically pleasing while burning the midnight oil.
I love how this aesthetic has a domestic feel as well. Classic home office furniture, simply put, looks like office furniture. These modernist pieces actually look like items you would put in your living room, making your work place much more inviting.
