Pale Winter Hues For Interior Design

$

In January, the landscape is bathed in Winter white as we await the blooms of Spring. It’s at this time that we crave more pale hues for interior design... Those hints of blush, mint, or icy blue that provide a dose of color and complement a home’s neutral palette.

Pale pink is a feminine shade but it’s not just for little girl’s rooms. Instead, pull touches of pink into a sophisticated space for a romantic aesthetic, incorporating cotton or silk textiles in florals or geometrics along with colored glass accessories

Blue is a go-to color for anyone who desires a serene space. Softer shades of blue are relaxing and calm, perfect for bedrooms or living spaces in soothing hues reminiscent of sky and sea.

Seafoam and mint green are colors that were popular in the 1950s and celadon and sage in the 1990s, but these pale green hues never went out of style. Modern uses are fresh and fabulous when the surrounding decor includes elegant shapes in classic furnishings.

Radiant orchid was named Pantone’s color of the year for 2014 and all shades of pale purple from lilac and lavender will play a larger role on the design scene. It’s a glamorous hue especially when paired with mirrored pieces together with white furniture and pretty walls.

Reinvent Your Interior Decor With Modern Lamps

After the start of the year there is always the desire to give our homes a sprucing up or a reinvention of our tired interior decor into a home that is welcoming and feels refreshed.

Whether you decide to bring in new textiles to adorn your couch or you add a new accent colored wall, there is nothing that provides more impact than modern lamps for illuminating your space.

The biggest challenge is determining what lamp will fit your design style and room the best! Here are some inspiring tips for using modern lamps from large to small as a way to reinvent your tired interiors and breathe new life into corners you forgot about.

Interior Decor

Consider clean lines when choosing modern lighting:

The beauty of contemporary lamp fixtures is that they come in a variety of colors, heights, profiles and decorative finishes to match any design style.

When choosing the right modern lamp, turn to linear profiles that feature minimal ornamentation and embody a modernist feel. Whether you enjoy a minimalist feel with a strict geometrical aesthetic or you enjoy a slight curve in your lamp – play up the design in your interiors.

Choose desk and table decor, chairs and furnishings to mimic the same characteristics. The Teardrop 21" High Brushed Steel Table Lamp is a gorgeous example from Lamps Plus.

Modern Table Lamp

Modern lamps with a hint of retro styling:

Let’s face it, many modern lamps have glimpses of retro styling but they have reinvented themselves with modern appeal. For example a retro styled bedside table lamp with a modern fresh green color is a great way to still bring a contemporary edge to your bedside table like this one from Niche Interiors.

Another hint when choosing modern lamps is to go for a lampshade that commands a presence. In these last few years we’ve been seeing great geometric patterns, wide, tall and drum lampshades that are nods from the 60’s and 70’s when lamp shades made a statement in the home.

Bedroom Design

Take advantage of modern lamps that are artwork too:

It’s amazing how modern lamps can create a focal point within your room and create movement around a lighting fixture. If you love floor lamps why not add a striking one beside your favorite couch or armchair.

Contemporary floor lamps are great because they can fit virtually anywhere and can double as artwork and decoration, all at the same time. This M.A.P. Interiors floor lamp captures your eye immediately. Doesn't it command your attention?

Living Room Design

This season as you are wondering how to transform your interiors, why not look to a modern lamp? Whether you choose a minimalist or contemporary design or you decide to have a retro lamp , there’s a modern lamp waiting for your interiors!

Try some of these ideas and you may find yourself switching out more than just one lamp in your cozy abode.

Adding Lavender to Your Living Room

$

I don't remember the first time I saw this lavender-accented living room, but I remember immediately loving it. It belongs to and was decorated by stylist, TV producer, and blogger, Ana Antunes, who lives here with her family. While it has a very Southern feel, they actually live in Lisbon, Portugal.

Let's take a closer look at how she put it together and why it works.

Lilac Living Room

The pale robin's egg blue walls are soft and pretty and act as a slightly tinted neutral, thanks to the high ceilings and tall windows which seem to let in ample light. It's a subtle backdrop that lends just enough differentiation to set off the glossy white furniture and contrast with the bright aqua accessories.

While the chevron, zebra, and ikat prints provide strong pattern, they are done in monochromatic colorways to keep things simple. Those bold graphics, along with the clean lines of the furniture, are then softened with more feminine silhouettes like the French fauteuil and scalloped mirror.

Probably, what appeals to me most is the infusion of lavender. If you take a moment to study the image, you'll see that a little lavender goes a long way. The white chaise is topped with lavender seat and back cushions piped in white. Then, on the console, there's a lavender table lamp dressed with a mauve-y, lavender lamp shade. And that's it. With the inclusion of those two elements alone, the room goes from white and blue, to blue and lavender.

Home Furnishings

Are you ready to infuse some lavender into your room? Remember, all it takes is an accent or two. Use a lavender lamp shade accent color and a pair of pillows. After that, the merest hint is all you need, like the pretty lilac votive candle.

Start with a chevron rug, like Antune's, add a white sofa and accent table, some elements that shine, like mirrored tables and crystal chandelier, then sprinkle in some vibrant turquoise art and accessories.

Classic Black Design For The Home

Classic Black Design

Classic black design is timeless whether in clothing, industrial design or interior design. Habitually Chic always has the most elegant images online that combine everything beautiful from home design to travel. When it comes to a sophisticated color, you can’t beat black.

There is a reason “Black Tie” embodies everything formal and elegant. Additionally, what woman doesn’t have the ever-popular little black dress?

Most rooms should always have some black to ground the space. Black furniture, accessories and lighting have a sense of permanence that most interiors require. It might seem unorthodox, but even stylish mini pendant lighting designs or bold wall mirrors in black are an easy way to incorporate the color with ease.

Like a great black belt or handbag, a punch of black adds energy and sometimes a touch of mystery, so don’t think of it as depressing or funereal... It’s actually fabulous.

Luxury Goods

I chose these images to give a literal sense of how black can aesthetically enhance every part of our daily lives. From the black night sky to the slick surface of a powerful sports car, black looks great in every application.

Black Accessories

Here are some more intoxicating images of how black makes everything so much better. It’s all so sumptuous...I could get lost at that bar or in that richly textured scarf.

decorating-with-purple

Hello 2014.

Hello purple. Nice to meet you. I've heard that this is your year. You are all anyone is talking about....decorating with purple...purple accessories....purple walls....purple here and purple there...like this brilliant red and purple combination from Country Living. Sometimes people get all fancy and call it plum, lilac, lavender, violet or radiant orchid.

And a purple by any other name....is just as fantastic.

Here's a few ideas for adding a little purple to your decor.

decorating-with-purple-ideas

1.  A little purple goes a long way

One wall of purple is sometimes all it takes to make a statement....as in this bedroom from HGTV. Home accents in a vibrant purple in the room help bring the neutral color scheme to life.

The linen bed frame and contemporary chair provide a simple sophistication in the space.

decorating-with-purple-bedroom

2.  Make it crisp and clean

For a classic decor scheme....pair purple with crisp white as in this bedroom from Better Homes and Gardens. Against the white molding and built-ins, the purple color truly pops.

Add chrome and mirrored accents to complete the look.

decorating-with-purple-how-to

3. Choose a signature fabric

This living room featured in New England Home has neutral colored walls with a brilliantly hued settee and coordinating fabrics. The simplicity of a purple chair or other signature piece of furniture makes a bold statement in a room.

Finish the room with an distinctive area rug and other vibrant textiles.

4.  Think outside the box

Purple isn't just for living rooms any more. In this contemporary kitchen from Better Homes and Gardens, purple accents the simple yet classic accessories.

Monochromatic floors and contemporary chairs keep the space stylish and functional.

This year is going to be vibrant and fun and colorful. With an extra helping of joy on top.

Thanks purple!

Romantic Mood Lighting for Valentine's Day

Mood Lighting

February 14th is just around the corner, which means there's romance in the air and mood lighting everywhere! Cupid's holiday serves as a reminder that it's important to show your appreciation for that special someone every day of the year.

Whether you enjoy sharing quiet meals, watching movies on the couch, or reading side-by-side in bed, the quality time you spend together at home contributes significantly to your relationship—and adding some romantic mood lighting to your decor is a great way to celebrate the spirit of Valentine's Day 24/7!

Beautiful Lighting

Of course the bedroom is an obvious place to focus your mood lighting, but any room can benefit from soft and warm illumination.

Get the look by using indirect lighting from sconces and table lamps (as seen in the Cappa Docia Cave Suites and in the Lamps Plus Trend Center).

Nothing can beat the flickering glow of candles to set the scene for love, as spotted by Marissa Berman; but for a similar effect without the accompanying fire hazard, consider a crystal chandelier for mood lighting as seen on Lamps Plus.

No matter how you create it, mood lighting turns the flick of a switch into an intimate evening for two!

Outdoor Lighting For a Secure Welcome

Outdoor Lighting

Outdoor lighting should never be overlooked when planning the overall design scheme for your home. I know it may not seem like a sexy topic, but I think there is nothing sexier and more welcoming than a beautifully lit house in the evening.

I found some wonderful images on Lonny that capture just what I’m talking about and demonstrates how any style house can shine at night.

One thing to remember when installing outdoor lighting is that it’s not only about looking pretty, but proper outdoor lighting can offer better security. Energy-efficient security lighting fixtures are essential for staying safe.

Motion sensors along the side of you house as well as traditional wall mount lights will help in keeping unwanted visitors at bay.

Traditional Outdoor Lights

1. Reynolds Collection Charcoal Outdoor Wall Light

Traditional outdoor lighting comes in many forms, but I’m a purist and really like the classic Colonial Lantern. The image of a dreamy London Mews house naturally gets my heart racing, but if I can’t actually have the house, imitating the lights are the next best thing.

Modern Outdoor Lighting

2. Vibe Collection Aluminum Outdoor Hanging Light

Modern outdoor lighting has come a long way. It seemed like everything has had a 1970s bent forever...thankfully things are changing.

I love the idea of hanging outdoor lights on a patio or veranda, provided you don’t live in a windy area.

Country Outdoor Lighting

3. Feiss Redding Station Bronze Outdoor Wall Lantern

Country-Style outdoor lighting is usually no-fuss and looks better when aged. You should go for the “oh, this old thing?” aesthetic so when it really begins to look shabby, you can say it’s been around since before electricity!

Outdoor Path Lighting

4. Kichler Broad Architectural Bronze LED Landscape Path Light

Outdoor path and garden lighting creates the right mood. Strolling through a perfectly lit garden is quite romantic and will show off your gardening skills well after the sun has set.

 Copper-Lighting-Pipes-Metal-Design

Everyone - I would like you to meet and become well acquainted with my new best buddy - Copper!  Brass has been my partner in crime (aka interior design) for the past few years, but I think I may be guilty in the near future or edging out my good friend brass for my new love copper.

This beautiful, warm, pink hued metal is so versatile, and as you will see below in these inspiring images from Architecture Art Design, copper is making big waves in every room of the house.

 Copper-Kitchen-Cabinets-Pipes-Design

These copper kitchen images show the versatility and depth of copper. If you have untreated copper cabinets, natural oxidation causes a beautiful patina over the years.  If you aren't ready to commit to a kitchen full of copper cabinets, exposed copper piping can double as an accessory rack.

 Copper-Metal-Pipe-Table-Lamp-Design

This industrial-chic copper task lamp is a simple statement piece and a fun DIY project. Copper piping can be found at any local hardware store, and with a little magic you can have a cool task lamp design for your home office or bedside table.

 Copper-Bathroom-Bathtub-Metal-Design

This copper freestanding bathtub is amazing. There's an element of old world style mixed with a beautiful modernity. Pairing this tub with a vintage red accent rug really brings out the pink undertones in the copper.

 Copper-Metal-Bedroom-Accesories-Design

This bedroom vignette takes copper to a whole new level. Stunning modern pendant lights are always a lovely start for any room, but it doesn't stop there for this space. Exposed piping, the bed frame and the succulent pots all celebrate copper, while accents like the throw blanket, pillow and shoe get the copper treatment as well.

Are you ready to introduce my new friend copper into your life and home?

Modern Industrial Home Style With Wire Decor

Wire Decor

Don’t tell Joan Crawford, but wire decor is “in,” chic and can be manipulated into a variety of home decor must-haves.

The New Victorian Ruralist has always been genius when it comes to posting images that capture the most modern way to live with antiques and what can, at face value, appear to be everything that can be found in your grandmother’s attic. This modern spin is enticing, haunting and I had to have it for this post!

Metal Home Decor

There is a huge craze for industrial looking home accents whether it be conduit bar stools or wire-caged sconces and rustic style pendants. This aesthetic is a nostalgic look at the past with a contemporary twist.

Wire is a great, malleable material that can bend into just about any form and remain sturdy if the right thickness is used. I love that wire can be used to create something as sturdy as a chair or as delicate as a basket. From practical to whimsical, wire can appeal to just about any aesthetic.

Wire Antiques

How clever it is to use old wire fencing masks to create a cool and contemporary work of art. It just goes to show that wire can be considered a material for serious art or the functional protector for a bare bulb on bathroom wall lights...a fabulous juxtaposition.

Get The Look: Modern & Relaxing White Bedroom

Bedroom Style

Recently I made some changes to my bedroom. I wanted a white airy feeling that wasn't too feminine. It needed to be modern, androgynous, and relaxing. Two things I didn't want do change were the light gray paint, and the dark bedroom furniture we already had. I was focusing on bedside lighting and decor for this bedroom update.

Even though brass and gold are having a heyday, I wanted a chrome or polished nickel finish for my bedroom lighting. I wanted to keep the tones cool instead of warm. I chose the Hudson Valley Aston Polished Nickel Desk Lamp (link below) for both bedside tables. I wanted functional task lamps with great style.

Task Lighting

For the bedding I've always kept it simple with all white, while adding a colorful accent pillow.

A candle on the the bedside table is a must. Even when not lit, it gives off a lovely smell as I drift off into sleep. I love black candles because they exude luxury.

I've found some great options for you to get my look at Lamps Plus!

Incorporate the Perfect Purple Lighting In Your Home

$

When decorating with lighting for your home, don't forget that most fixtures come in an array of colors. Sure, you may not go for a multicolor crystal chandelier (though you could), but table lamps, lanterns, and pendants are especially effective for infusing color into your room. Today we look at incorporating the perfect purple lighting, and how three designers effectively added it to their decor.

You can add purple lighting for romantic bedrooms, colorful kitchens or just adding some pretty style to any room of the house.

Perfect Purple Lighting

Manhattan-based designer Anthony Baratta is known for casually elegant, but classic rooms that are drenched in color. This library, done in shades of dusty purples and blues, features a purple table lamp that is a few shades deeper than the trio of purple upholstered seating.

Purple Pendant Light

Stylist Sissy Rousaki, who works out of Melbourne, Australia, paired almost acid shades of violet and yellow together in a sparse white loft. The simple purple pendant and over-dyed rug play well with each other, while canary yellow accent tables provide plenty of contrast.

Outdoor Style

Brian Patrick Flynn of Los Angeles-based production company Flynnside Out turned a narrow outdoor space into a fully functioning living room with the addition of a stripey rug, woven rattan sofa, and a plethora of purple pendants, which match the throw pillows.

Purple Home Furnishings

Nothing creates more impact than a beautiful chandelier, so why not choose a purple one like the Bella Vetro Purple Glass Chandelier. You don't have to go the traditional chandelier route if you don't want to, try this Purple Knife Pleat Lamp Shade Pendant. If you're feeling risky and want some purple furniture, how about a Morgan Purple Accent Chair and place it next to the Imperial Metallic Ovo Table Lamp. If you love stripes, the Purple Neon Giclee Pendant is a great way to incorporate some purple. The Ashbury Royal Purple Wall Mirror is a bold move, both in style and color. Don't forget, mirrors always make a room look larger too! Don't limit your purple consumption to home furnishings and lighting, take it to the dining table with the Rachael Ray Purple Dinnerware Set. Feeling a little girly (which is likely if you enjoy purple), then try this pretty angelo :HOME Lily Lavender YoYo Accent Chair. Remember, style is floor to ceiling so don't forget the Resort Sawyer Purple Indoor/Outdoor Area Rug! The Aubergine Purple Stix Square Throw Pillow is the easiest and most economical way to add a little purple to your decor. If you love modern, then the Metallic Purple Scooper Adjustable Bar Stool is perfect for your home entertaining. But why not go real big with purple and lounge on the Centennial Eggplant Velvet Loveseat?!

Stylish Storage

I’m on a mission to find stylish storage and that means searching for a campaign dresser. From the clean lines to the brass hardware, I am smitten.

Campaign furniture is portable furniture that was designed for the military to be easily transported. The recessed brass handles, like in this image from Emily Henderson, are not only gorgeous, they protect the pieces from being scuffed and damaged during transport.

The perfect mix of form and function, campaign furniture isn’t just for the military anymore. Kelly Wearstler brings the campaign dresser into the bathroom with this gorgeous vanity.

Bath Vanity Ideas

Forget built-ins and get creative with a campaign dresser in the kitchen, like in this image from Christine Chase.

Kitchen Design

Go bold with paint, like Lonny Magazine shared with us. Colorful storage units always add fun style to an otherwise functional piece of furniture.

Or do a fun two-tone effect, like this one from The Homemade Home.

DIY Ideas

If you are lucky enough to run across a vintage campaign dresser, you can update it with a good cleaning and a coat of paint like Innovative Interior did to this stunning blue beauty she uses to store extra linens.

Blue Storage

If you’ve searched high and low for a vintage piece to no avail, don’t fret.  See how you can get the look for much less by turning an Ikea cube into a campaign knockoff like Fuji Files did.

Industrial Lighting Ideas

I just finished a remodel of a teenage boy's bedroom and I wanted to share the process, including some industrial lighting ideas.

The request was for a simple space with clean lines and not too much color....a few maps....

....and could I please include the math formula PI to the 100th place.

Pi to the 100th place?

Of course.

Done. Done....and oh wait....done.

Most of the room came from shopping the local farm store for galvanized metal bins....but the lighting? Industrial lighting ideas? I wasn't sure which direction to go for an industrial chic look. I wasn't sure what would say map meets Pi meets galvanized bins....

....meets midnight basketball games.

Nickel Ceiling Light

I finally chose this industrial cage nickel light.

I love the lines and the bulbs and the sheen and the patina and the shape and the exterior cage.

Here's a few more industrial ceiling light ideas I found along the way.

Bronze Ceiling Light

The lines of this wide ceiling bronze light fixture are so current....so hipster meets factory warehouse.

It also looks just like an atom.  Perfect for a math room.

And the light bulb that comes with it?

Seriously. :)

Brushed Nickel Ceiling Light

If the Jetson's had a light fixture in their house....this would have been it.

This four light brushed nickel ceiling light from Muse is amazing.

It mimics the pattern on the mesh trash can and blends perfectly with the galvanized fixtures in the room.

And the four bulbs provide plenty of light for homework.

Ceiling Light With Shade

Here's a little different lighting option for a more traditional look with flair.

This fixture with its off-white shade and textured linen-look brings a simple classic lines to the room.

This fixture would transition easily from look to look and room to room and fits with so many different looks.

Vintage Style Ceiling Light

And here's one of my favorites.

This vintage style bronze ceiling light is perfection.

I love the combination of the cage and drum shade and how they work seamlessly together.

The room is finished and the president of the PI fan club is happy.

I love the look of the room and the desk and the orange beanbag chair combined with multiplication and a map of the world.

Now....it's time for style and function......to meet homework. :)

Transition from Winter to Spring with Floral Decor

The weather may still be saying Winter, but Spring will be here sooner than we know it! Usher in the coming season with this year's floral decor trend.

From oversized tile blossoms spotted on The Design Chaser to simple bedding accents on the Lamps Plus resource center, petals and posies bring a vibrant, cheerful sensibility to any space. Even an entryway benefits from a touch of floral fun on Glamour.

For the full floral impact you could wallpaper the stairs as seen on My Bungalow, but there are plenty of decor accents to bring the garden indoors.

For example, floral throw pillows offer a quick and easy way to get the look. Rue Daily shows how a single cushion can make a graphic feminine vignette even more memorable, while Glamour demonstrates a more edgy approach with a vintage textile mix.

However you choose to add a little foliage into your home, florals are sure to make your interiors bloom!

1. This Floral Table Lamp will give you a little vintage feeling to your decor, with just enough color to brighten the space.

2. For a quick and easy approach, this Floral Print Throw Pillow is a fun way to dress up a sofa or bed.

3. Brighten up your entryway with this colorful Floral Doormat.

4. Every gallery wall needs a little Floral Wall Art.

5. Love a lamp you already own, but want to add some Spring to your home, just replace your boring shade with this Embroidered Floral Lamp Shade.

Bohemian Interiors

Bohemian interiors are extremely liberating as there are no rules to follow and no critics to impress. While there are no technical rules when it comes to mixing pattern and style in the Bohemian home, as in any design scheme, remember that proper balance, scale and lighting must be addressed.

The Neo Traditionalist had some amazing images of quirky and bohemian interiors that capture this look perfectly.

Eclectic Interiors

Most people think that a Boho interior is all about creating an artist’s loft look, and while the loft look can capture the aesthetic, as long as you are creative with mixing interesting materials and create a sense of whimsy and comfort, you will have it made.

I love how the rooms above mix exotic kilim fabrics with rustic woods and metal lamps that can be used for task lighting in an office or on a bedside table as practical bedroom lights.

Loft Style

Another hallmark of the bohemian space is the display of creative endeavors such as music, reading and horticulture. Being surrounded by books, art and plants makes a room feel warm and welcoming. A great way to combine them is to display art on a bookcase as seen above.

It’s a great look and a good idea to use a decorative clip on light to highlight a print or painting. Most importantly, have fun, as Bohemian interiors are ultimately playful.

Bohemian Accessories

Shopping List:

1. Pillows are the easiest way to add some color, pattern and personality to your space so try this Set of 2 Bedouin Textural Red and Ochre Throw Pillows for your new Boho space.

2. Too scared to mix patterns on your own, don't worry! There's a lamp shade for that. Add this fun Bohemian Blooms Giclee Lamp Shade for a mix of patterns to a lamp you already own.

3. Like with the lamp shade, if you're not sure how to mix materials, then just search for pieces that include mixed materials, like this Atlas White Marble Top Jamie Young End Table.

4. The Robert Abbey Kinetic Antique Brass Pharmacy Desk Lamp is a classic style for any home decor, but the brass is especially perfect for the Boho look.

5. Try this Tuscany Farmhouse Smoke Trestle Table (currently unavailable) with mismatched chairs for a Boho dining room.

6. Have fun with your upholstery selections, be brave. Try something like this Amelia Alloy Fabric Club Chair in your living room.

7. Mix pattern and materials with this Jamie Young Barrel Ikat and Vintage Canvas Buffet Lamp.

Design Inspiration - A Bangladesh Wedding

Bangladesh-Bengali-Wedding-Marigolds-Design-Inspiration

This month I had the extreme pleasure to be a guest at a friend's wedding in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The whole experience was so inspirational and beautiful I had to share it with all of you in the hopes that you could find some design inspiration in my photos.

The three-day event was colorful, meaningful, traditional and spectacular. I hope these images, taken by myself and my husband, inspire you to get your creative design juices flowing as they have done so for me.

Gaye-Holud-Bangladesh-Wedding-Yellow-Orange-Design

The day-time ceremony, also known as the Gaye Holud or turmeric ceremony, took place in an open park next to a lake. Trees were draped in marigold chains as far as the eye could see, and floral peacocks dotted the pathways.  Friends and family were given Traditional Bengladeshi village-style Sarees (for the women) and Kurtas (for the men) to wear for this ceremony.

The bride arrived to the event oh-so-fashionably in a traditional Palanquin hoisted up by the grooms friends as the groom holds her hand and walks besides her.

The style of this ceremony would be the equivalent of a stateside wedding event with fun pendant lighting, like mason jars and wildflowers, rustic wooden tables and burlap runners, homemade pies and small batch beers. The bride wanted to recreate a traditional village celebration similar to the actual village wedding celebration they would have a week later.

Bangladesh-Night-Wedding-Ceremony-Red-Flowers-Design

For the night-time wedding ceremony the true glamour and opulence of a Bengali wedding comes out. Beautiful red fabrics, diamonds, silks, and more flowers that you can imagine drape the wedding stage as the couple exchanges rings and cut the cake. The celebration continued late into the night as near 1,000 guests gave their blessings to the happy couple.

Whether for an event or for your home design, you can capture the beauty of this wonderful celebration. Warm, rich hues of red, yellow and orange are at the base of this celebration.

Don't be afraid to embrace color!  Accessorizing is also extremely prevalent. Jewels, flowers and accessories take center stage, and there can never be too much. One of my favorite collaborations was an orchid and rose custom floral ceiling light that hovered over the bride and groom as they cut their cake.

Are you inspired by this beautiful wedding in Bangladesh?
