Animal Print Decor

Christmas and Hanukkah are now behind us. This can only mean one thing: We have a long, cold, dreary winter ahead of us. Or at least, that's how I sometimes feel the day after the holiday hustle and bustle has had its way with me. But then I remind myself that it's more productive to put a positive spin on our outlookand on our home decor!in order to make the season that lies before us one of regeneration.

Global Print Decor

So once the Christmas decorations are put away, I'll be turning to layered rugs and textiles in my favorite patterns to make the house feel vibrant and fresh yet still protected from the elements. I draw upon cultures that have traditionally had to design their lives around long winters when I decorate this way; Scandinavian styles in particular resonate with me, but you can also look to Native American, Tibetan, and any other global influence for inspiration. Color, pattern, and texture all come into play for pieces you can mix and match while the soup bubbles away on the stove!

Swedish Floral Home Decor

From the enveloping warmth of animal hides and knit blankets, to the bright energy of Scandinavian-inspired florals, the options for decorating don't end just because the holiday season has!
