Ideas for layering different lighting options for your next entertaining event.
Lighting is an art. Opinions regarding a lighting design are as subjective as those of art critics. And just like artists, you can design your lighting using layers of style, including LED.
I thought I would help you get the best layered look for your next party. I'll be sharing a few ideas on downlighting, uplighting and accent lighting.
Downlighting & Moonlighting
Downlighting is achieved by illuminating an area or object from above. High mounting heights and wide beam spreads provide broad, uniform illumination.
LED string lights are versatile and can be hung in many different ways, vertically or horizontally.

Uplighting
This technique uses direct burial fixtures, well lights, and grade-mounted bullet fixtures which are aimed upward to illuminate trees, sculptures, walls, and flags.
LED spot flood lights provide very dramatic effects because they generate light and shadows in the opposite direction of the sun and moon.

Accent Lighting
Using higher light levels, uplights or downlights can be used to accent key features and create focal points, by separating them from objects or areas of lesser importance.
You can also include accent lighting on your table top or side tables.
