Just announced by Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Institute, the Pantone Color of the Year for 2015 is Marsala. This "sensual and bold" red-brown hue is readily incorporated into home decor through lush foundation pieces like Marsala-colored seating, or with rich wine-hued home accents like Marsala decorative pillows.
Marsala "is a daringly inviting tone that nurtures; exuding confidence and stability while feeding the body, mind, and soul," according to Eiseman. "Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this robust shade incorporates the warmth and richness of a tastefully fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots point for a sophisticated, natural earthiness."
