There is nothing better than outdoor lighting to enhance the ambiance of your patio, backyard or garden. Here are four easy tips to achieve a gorgeously lit outdoor area without the hassle of hard-wiring.
Idea #1: LED Candles
LED candles are a great option for ambient outdoor lighting (especially the ones that flicker like an actual flame.) They won’t burn or blow out like a regular candle and you’ll never have to dig the wick out! Not to mention the fact that they aren't a fire hazard like their wick-burning cousins.
Group several candles of different heights as part of a tablescape on a dining table or in the center of a coffee table, with or without candle holders. This look is best achieved using odd numbers as the display will look more balanced.
Idea #2: Decorative Lanterns
One of my favorite easy outdoor lighting tip is using decorative lanterns. You can suspend them from trees or create vignettes with them. They look good on their own, but adding an LED candle adds some romantic ambiance to the setting.
Idea #3: String Lights
String lights aren't a winter-only lighting decor option. They look great strung from trees or wrapped around tree trunks. String lights with the larger bulbs look great spanning the space over furniture groupings.
Idea #4: Pathway Lighting
Solar LED path lighting is an inexpensive way to light up a walkway or garden path so your guests can see the way to your gorgeous backyard. A festive option is to line a pathway with lots of LED candles. LED candles are great for making luminarias.
Now that I've shared my top easy outdoor lighting tips it’s your turn to make it happen in your own backyard or patio!
