I am ready for spring! I love when the temperature starts to climb and long days are spent lounging outside with loved ones through the beautiful dusk hours and into the night. Okay, did I paint an enticing picture for you or what?
Now we just need to create the perfect outdoor patio space to make our dreams into reality. Better Homes and Gardens has some beautiful inspiration images to help when developing your patio design for spring.
For me, there are two types of patios - floral and colorful or lush and green. First let's look at beautiful patios that embrace floral color in all its glory.
Whether you have a large or small space, you can always fit a stylish outdoor planter or two and pop in seasonal flowers. Adding a few planters around the space, and mixing in colorful pillows and accessories will make your space burst with color.
As you can see above, matching the flowers with the patio decor really transforms your outdoor space into an additional room of your house. No one is going to want to leave once they see your perfectly curated and brightly decorated patio!
If bright colors are not your thing but you love nature and the outdoors, keep your patio lush, green and full of life. Vibrant green leaves and dangling vines give off just as much life as flowers but with a more organic, wild feel.
Most people who prefer this rustic look also like to incorporate outdoor garden water fountains that add a layer of calming sounds.
Shaded spaces and hidden hideaways work really well with this look, so make sure to find an area where you can create a secret spot for your nearest and dearest.
